The new spa was designed to continue the original angular lines of the existing pool. First, new rebar was formed to the shape of the spa walls and anchored to the pool walls. Then the spa walls were framed and poured with the gunite mixture. Next, water flow inlets were drilled through the old pool wall, fixtures added, electrical outlets installed, then seats framed and poured into the corner.  Glass blocks finished off the spa walls, and new tile was applied all around the spa and pool waterline. A light was installed in the side of the seat to illuminate the spa and main pool through the glass blocks.

Finally, the new Marquis surface was applied to the pool and spa and hand washed to the desired surface texture and color.
